I've been seeing this on Twitter for days now.
"Boehner about to be exposed in sex scandal." And the Tweep uses a link from the National Enquirer from February.
New Speaker of the House JOHN BOEHNER is embroiled in a bombshell sex scandal - involving at least two different women, The ENQUIRER has learned!
Capitol Hill insiders and political bloggers have been buzzing about an upcoming New York Times probe - detailing an alleged affair that the 61-year-old married father of two had with pretty Washington lobbyist LISBETH LYONS.
And an ENQUIRER investigation has uncovered a bedroom encounter that Boehner - second in line of succession to the presidency - allegedly had with LEIGH LaMORA, a 46-year-old former press secretary to ex-Colorado Congressman JOEL HEFLEY.
No less a left wing icon than Michael Moore tweeted YESTERDAY that the roof was about to fall in on the Speaker.
But the link, Michael, is to the same story in February. Now, I know the NY Times likes to take its time and make sure of the correctness of a bombshell story, so that wouldn't be surprising. And it WAS the National Enquirer that finally spurred the lazy Mainstream Media to get off it's overly comfortable ass to investigate the John Edwards scandal.
But now, another name has been thrown into the mix! Keith Olbermann told Jimmy Fallon that there's something brewing with Boehner.
Now, in all the years I watched KO on MSNBC, I don't recall him ever having to say he was sorry for getting something like this "wrong." So something tells me that with this sudden renewal of interest in a story that "broke" in February and was never pursued, maybe something IS about to come out.
BUT UNTIL THEN, WE MUST REMAIN PROFESSIONAL!
Until the Media gets off its overly padded and cushy bottoms and INVESTIGATES the LEADS the Enquirer gave them and either says "there's nothing there," or "there's something, and we're going to dig further," then the good name of this good and loyal Orange-Skinned American will continue to be besmirched by people looking for a cut of revenge for what the right wing did to former Rep. Weiner by shining the light on his nasty little obsession of taking pictures of his bad self and sending hem to strangers.
