Has President Obama Been Harboring a Fugitive?

According to the Associated Press: “Obama initially was held without bail on a detainer from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials on allegations he violated an order to return to Kenya 20 years ago. He was subsequently released and ordered to regularly check in with immigration officials.”

This Obama is not the President of the United States, but the President's uncle. This Obama is “Uncle Omar”, the President's father's half-brother, who was born in Kenya. Apparently, Onyango Obama has been a fugitive from deportation since 1992, according to two federal law enforcement officers with knowledge of the case. He was arrested in Framingham, Massachusetts in August 2011 for drunken driving and other charges.

Although he's a wanted fugitive, somehow Uncle Omar has a social security number and a driver's license even though he's supposedly in the country illegally. According to a police report, he told an officer at the police station: “I think I will call the White House.”

This raises serious implications for President Obama as a relative is allegedly pulling White House strings to avoid an arrest. A skeptical mind might consider that Uncle Omar has pulled this string once before, perhaps even at a federal Social Security Office to obtain his social security number.

The real question that a skeptic should be asking is what did President Obama know about his Uncle Omar. As the chief executive in charge of the executive branch which enforces all federal laws, Mr. Barack Obama should be held to a higher standard. For if our President had his Uncle Omar over for dinner at the White House, then he may have harbored a fugitive.
