Herman Cain To Sue Politico
Rumor has it, the Republican Presidential candidate; Herman Cain is considering a lawsuit against Politico for its report about sexual harassment allegations against Cain while he was the National Restaurant Association president in 1990s.
I say, go Herman go, you have as much chance of success from it as one has a chance of being hit by lightning in desert!
First Mr. Cain did not know about the incident at all and he denied it vehemently, then he had faint memory of it, and then lied again about how much the two women who brought allegations of sexual harassment against him were paid—mentioning only two to three months pay. Later on it was revealed that the National Restaurant Association had paid a fully year’s salary to the accusers.
Do you see a pattern here? I do.
As an ex-CEO, here is another golden boy who is worth in his weight in gold, if you know what I mean!
Cain's campaign manager, Mark Block, confirmed it to The Washington Post that the campaign is considering suing the media company. And I can see Cain’s point—he had sexually harassed two women (a 3rd woman is coming up in the news often), and had paid them for his sin. So his sins are washed and Politico had no business bringing it up, especially, when he is seeking to dedicate his life for the service of the nation!
After all it is a Christian country—as the GOP would like us to believe. Only this week they demonstrated it once more by securing House votes to reaffirm that in God we trust. The truth is, Christ had taught us to forgive, and Cain would like us to do the likewise. Of course, it is another matter that the devout Republicans do not believe in that principle themselves, as it was proved only recently, when Rick Perry had shown no remorse, being asked by journalists, about his sending an innocent man to death.
