Iran's President Facing Possible Impeachment
Embattled Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad appeared before the Iranian Majlis, or Parliament, to answer a series of questions on Wednesday. He didn't help his cause. Answering many of the questions in a sarcastic tone, Ahmadinejad managed to anger many conservative members of the governing body. Should his testimony fail to satisfy them (and the religious powers behind them) Ahmadinejad could face impeachment - or worse...
See Mahmoud? I told you so. You should've left Iran...
How much more proof do you need? They're gunning for you man.
Never in the history of your country once before
Has a sitting President been questioned on the floor.
Now you're facing questions... Heck, Mahmoud; you're facing 10!
Yes, I've told you this before - I'm telling you again;
When a Leader who's Supreme's decided that you're done
Smartest thing for you to do is pack your stuff and run.
For, I'm sure, the Ayatollah's hand's behind this news
And that Majlis members represent Khamenei's views.
Not like you should be surprised; the message has been clear.
Haven't they arrested anyone who stood too near?
It's not just impeachment you could face if he's upset.
Don't think you will want to see how angry he can get.
Find yourself a border; get your sorry bum across...
Hope you'll take advice this time... If not? Well, it's your loss.
I hear that Syria has been making room for immigrants lately... Or perhaps Russia? You and President Putin could go tiger hunting in Siberia. But hurry up... Time (as they say) is running out.
