No “Childish Spectacle” From The President - Page 2
In contrast to the president’s visionary speech, GOP’s response by Marco Rubio was the same old failed assertion—increasing taxes is not going to solve today’s problem. This only demonstrated how bankrupt the Republican thought process has become, they have just become the protectors for the 1% Americans at the very top, nothing more.
Obama rightfully stressed that job creation is his priority, and he wants that in the new technology sector, technology that will be created in this country. The most heartening thing is he is putting his action where his mouth is; today he began a three-days-travel to gain support for the job-creation and economic proposals he proposed in his State of the Union address. He begins with a visit to Linamar Corporation, that manufactures engine and transmission components and he will follow that with a visit to Atlanta on Thursday and Chicago on Friday.
Obama proposed creation of three “manufacturing innovation institutes” – partnerships between the private sector, the federal government, and educational institutions to develop and build manufacturing technologies that will take this country to take lead in the world once again. He asked the Congress to create 15 more institutes such as the ones he proposed. There is no “childish spectacle” from this President.
