Really Norway? You've got to be kidding. How can this horrible attack happen in one of the most peaceful countries in the world? This is the country of Isben, Sonja Henie, Vikingstad and Knut Hamsun and home to Nobel Peace Prize nominated by the Norwegian Parliament. Now it's going to be the country of Anders Breivik the psycho right-wing fanatic who callously murdered seventy-six unsuspecting and innocent souls.

Norway is the home of non violent, fun loving ski jumpers and figure skaters. I mean this is a place where the biggest jail sentence is only twenty one years. They haven't executed anyone in peace time since 1876. And a murder rate that is the envy of Europe. This tragedy is so sad because we now have to ask the question - Is there not a place on earth where we can be safe from gun toting, bomb strapping zealots?

I mean what is it with these evil people? Do you need to exterminate fifty, sixty or seventy-six people to draw attention to your callous politics? Isn't this what the political process is all about. "Hey I don't like you, so you know what? I'm gonna vote for the other guy." Not go to a political party camp and start shooting innocent kids. Maybe it's some kind of ego-maniacal trip these idiots are on. I need to be seen by the world - "look at me, look at me!!" Normal people put stupid pictures of themselves on "Facebook" or "Youtube" for attention

Norway is one of the safest places on earth (and still is!). It has constantly been listed as one of the best places to live. Newsweek rated the country as number one for quality of life. The homicide rate in this lowly populated Scandinavian nation is a mere .71 per 100,000 people. That puts them just ahead of countries like Japan and Singapore, two extremely safe countries that don't shoot or beat criminals on sight. This atrocity will put the country in the travelers beware category for years and possibly create a national sense of fear and insecurity.
