Obama Blames Media, Opponents for Misinformation & Lies

As previously discussed on this site, by our resident truth speaker, Paranoia, President Obama is not a Muslim. Recently, in a rain soaked interview with Brian Williams, Obama had his chance to respond - again - to the loons and conservative media idiots who make up the 18% of America that still thinks he's a Muslim from Kenya.

"The facts are the facts. We went through some of this during the campaign — there is a mechanism, a network of misinformation that in a new media era can get churned out there constantly," a slightly pissed off Obama said, referring to the 'birthers,' a particularly active group of ignorant people constantly questioning the validity of his birth certificate.

No matter his frustrations with the media and his conservative foes, Obama still puts his faith in the American people — so he says.

"I will always put my money on the American people, and I’m not going to be worried too much about what rumors are floating around there."

When such a large percentage feel the need to question his faith - a thing that shouldn't matter at all to the highest public serving office in the country - perhaps it's time to take a step back and evaluate the mental state of the people he's serving.

As mentioned in earlier articles, why is the religion of the President such an issue? The liberals had a field day criticizing Bush for being part of the religious right and associating his faith with everything he did. So why now don't they stand up and criticize the public for its concern with the President's faith? All we need is one congressman to bring the public back to Earth with a statement akin to "who the f*ck cares?"

Criticize his policies, criticize all the change that isn't happening, but leave this birth certificate and religious faith out of the conversation. It's not productive and makes no sense. But, I'm beating a dead horse with that line of thinking. The American public has spoken, thanks to 24-hour news network brain washing.

Speaking of 24-hour news networks, during the same interview, Obama also dismissed Glenn Beck and his rally held over the weekend, saying that it's easy to stir up people following a depression. True, but letting Glenn Beck perpetuate his rhetoric among already ignorant people can be a detrimental thing to the health of the American public. Beck, admittedly, is an entertainer. Sadly, his followers don't see it that way, because frankly, they can't tell the difference. Trust me, his crowd is a large portion of that 18% of morons.
