Osama Bin Laden planned to kill President Obama

Few days before being killed in a operation by US Special forces, Al-Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden had planned to assassinate US President Barack Obama.

This details were recovered from evidence found in Bin Laden's Abbotabad compound. Bin Laden had also planned to attack General David Petraeus who commanded the US Forces in Afghanistan. Laden's idea was to shoot down their planes.

In a note Bin Laden wrote to a senior Al-Qaeda member Atiyah Abd Al-Rahman he revealed "Killing Obama will make Vice president Joe Biden to take over the presidency." Further Osama stated that "Biden is incapable for the president post and will lead US into a new crisis which was his objective."

Bin laden had assigned Maulana Ilyas Kashmiri to take over the assassination job. Kashmiri was killed on 3 June 2011 in a drone attack in South Waziristan a month later Osama was killed.

Osama bin Laden was the founder of the organization Al-Qaeda, the jihadist organization responsible for the September 11 attacks on the United States and numerous other mass-casualty attacks against civilian and military targets.

After being placed on the FBI's Most Wanted list, bin Laden remained in hiding during three U.S. presidential administrations. On May 2, 2011, bin Laden was shot and killed inside a private residential compound in Abbottabad, Pakistan, by U.S. Navy SEALS and CIA operatives in a covert operation ordered by United States President Barack Obama. Shortly after his death, bin Laden's body was buried at sea. Al-Qaeda acknowledged his death on May 6, 2011, vowing to retaliate
