Our National Hour of Shame. I Mean Andrew Breitbart and the National Press
Take a deep breath. Then ask yourself this question.
WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE IN YOUR LIFE WHETHER OR NOT A NEW YORK CONGRESSMAN TOOK NAUGHTY PHOTOS OF HIMSELF AND SENT THEM TO WOMEN HE HAD A CONSENSUAL ONLINE RELATIONSHIP WITH?
Does it affect the price of gasoline?
Will it lead to a raising of the debt limit or cause us to default as a nation?
Will it result in the end of Medicare as we know it?
Will it cause the ice caps to melt or put any extra carbon dioxide in the atmosphere?
Will it cost or create a single job?
Will it put on the table of an unemployed person's family?
Then WHAT IN THE FUCK ARE WE DOING HERE?
I want each and every member of the national media to take a look at yourself. Ask yourself this question.
WHAT IS MY PURPOSE?
(Someone just asked Weiner if what he did was a violation of his oath of office. SERIOUSLY?)
What is the purpose of the media in the United States of America?
Is this how far we've sunk? Has our decline as a nation led to this vile, evil, vicious circus?
And why, oh why, is Anthony Weiner standing there answering all these questions instead of just saying, "I lied, I admit it. Let's move on."
And what about Andrew Breitbart?
Where's his interest in the diaper-wearing whore monger Senator David Weiner?
Where is his interest in the cheating former Senator John Ensign? The possible LAWBREAKER who paid off his mistress and her husband, MAYBE with YOUR MONEY?
Where are his expose's on Larry Craig playing "tappy toe" in the men's bathroom at the airport?
I'll tell you where. Those guys are REPUBLICANS! Anthony Weiner had led the charge against Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas for refusing to recuse himself from a case in which he has DIRECT FINANCIAL INTEREST!
Andrew Breitbart and the ENTIRE MAINSTREAM MEDIA exists for one purpose only.
To capture our attention and keep us divided so that their corporate media masters, with the help of Congress and the Supreme Court can keep raping the middle class at the expense of the upper 1% of money-earners in the US.
That's their job.
That's what they do.
And we're letting them.
So it's our fault, too!
