Pro-Obama Wake the F*ck Up Ad Released (Schlock and Awe-some)
Building on the surprising success of his oral interpretation of the lovingly inappropriate children's book Go the F**k to Sleep, Samuel L. Jackson has lent his alto-gravel vocal talents in support of the campaign to re-elect President Barack Obama.
In a YouTube video call to those that elected Obama to office in 2008 to reawaken the vigor that took them to the phones, the internet, the streets and to the ballot box, Jackson has recorded another over-the-top ad. In a very Seussian staccato, the rhyme calls upon Democrats everywhere to "wake the f*ck up".
"Sorry, my friend, but there's no time to snore
An out-of-touch millionaire's just declared war
On schools, the environment, unions, fair pay
We're all on our own if Romney has his way.
He's against safety nets
If you fall, tough luck
So I strongly suggest you WAKE THE F*CK Up! "
I'm a bit over the novelty of re-working in Jackson's favorite four letter friend in unique ways, and the poem's forced rhyme casts a shadow of schlock over the ad. That said, it's Samuel L. Jackson, so I have to still share its awesomeness far and wide.
Done? Good. Now get the f*ck back to work.
