Republican House Rep Chris Lee Resigns After Attempted Hook-up on Craigslist - oh He's Married?
Yet another case of "family values" expert caught for naughtiness. When will the GOP stop the blatant hypocrisy? The days of "...do as I say and not as I do" are over. You can't turn the corner these days without running into one of these Republicans — the cheating and lying kind. At least liberals know and admit to imperfection — after all that is human nature; we are flawed.
Now the latest bombshell to hit the party of "family values:" Republican Representative Chris Lee resigned his house seat after his Craiglist personals ad surfaced.
In a statement posted on his website, Mr. Lee sounded conciliatory — as they always do when caught with their "values" pants down.
"I regret the harm that my actions have cause my family, my staff, and my constituents. I deeply and sincerely apologize to them all. I have made profound mistakes and I promise to work as hard as I can to seek their forgiveness."
Why didn't you think about that "Mr. I pretend perfection because I am a Republican guy?" Perhaps you would not have sent your bare-chested photo to a stranger? What about your son and wife?
Time for the "Republic" party to give up "family values" as a platform piece, because some in their ranks clearly do not value their own families, and by extension, their policies are hostile to American families. Way to go Tea Party — another one of your favorites bites the dust!
