Riddle Me Ahab; Obama, the Titanic and a Rather Pesky, Great, White Whale Called Reality - Page 2
Them good 'ol boys decked out in their fancy tuxedos — those very well-heeled, well-connected, overstuffed, Ivy League elites — they's having themselves a good 'ol time in a super, high stakes, morbidly and macabre, frenzied "crapshoot" as their ship, the Titanic, lists dangerously, its aft and midships lifted almost vertically in the air with its prow already under water.
And them good 'ol boys are drinking expensive liquor and fancy, overpriced wine and smoking costly, fat cigars as the water crowds them into the uppermost confines of the ship's glitzy and opulent ballroom - as the icy water ever increasingly rises and consumes and inundates their dwindling breathing space.
And so them good 'ol Wall Street boys just raise their stakes and increase their wagers exponentially as they shake and rattle, then cast, roll and throw their dice while the water continues to rise inexorably, and the ship lists deeper into its watery grave and into ultimate oblivion.
Well, this surely is not a pretty nor happy tableau I have painted, or even if Obama and the liberal-progressives are voted out of office en masse, it still ain't gonna be "happy times are here again," nor "laissez les bons temps rouler."
For it's going to take a great deal of time and effort, and grit and fortitude and determination to overcome and right his wrongs and those of his liberal-progressive leftist allies. But I have faith and trust in America - it can be done - so let's just do it.
