White HouseThe “private” conversation between the Presidents of France and the United States of America was not-so-private after all. This “private” conversation was first reported as allegations by Arret Sur Images, a french photo agency, and later confirmed by a reporter for Reuters, a news agency.

The two leaders were still wearing their microphones after a news conference in Cannes at a G20 economic conference. The topic of the “private” conversation was France's support of the Palestinian's bid for membership in the United Nations cultural agency, UNESCO.

Some journalists were still listening to the translation services heard the conversation as Sarkozy said, “I cannot bear Netanyahu, he's a liar.” Netanyahu is the prime minister of Israel.

In response, President Obama said, “You're fed up, but I have to deal with him every day.” The White House, apparently, has little to say about the exchange.

Most of the reporters agreed to not report the “private” conversation. And only God knows if anyone recorded the conversation for posterity.
