Some Democrats Look to Bieber to Bail Them Out - Page 2
So let me see if I've got this right, Campus Progress: you want folks to vote for celebrities who can't vote because of two factors - age and nationality. So even if he was old enough to vote, he wouldn't 'cause he doesn't live here. Or, if he lived here, he couldn't because he wouldn't be old enough. How about people casting votes for themselves rather than donating their votes to a celebrity?
You'd think by the voting age of 18 people wouldn't be so stupid as to be influenced to vote by the off chance that Justin Bieber said so. Then again, Jersey Shore exists.
What they are truly hoping for is that the video somehow catches that aforementioned viral disease and spreads their message across the internet. By attaching Bieber to it, it just may spread. Frankly, if I had to choose, I'd say Bieber would be a young Republican anyway. You know, white, rich — the whole stereotype wrapped up in a creepy little package.
I can tell you this though: when I go to vote it won't be Bieber I'll be thinking of. It'll be Sarah Palin and Tina Fey as Sarah Palin in a "use your imagination" situation. Yes, I'm that shallow.
