Super Tuesday: And the Winner Is - Nobody

It was Wednesday before pundits were ready to call Ohio, a key state in the Republican primaries, for Mitt Romney. The former Massachusetts Governor squeaked out a 1% victory over rival Rick Santorum, leaving a still unclear picture of how this race will go. It was late. I was tired... And I thought to myself;
Last night's 10 decisions helped out nobody at all
Even though it's clear it will be Romney in the Fall.
Still, the others won enough to keep them in the race.
Frankly, don't know how much more of this that I can face.
In the count of delegates, Mitt Romney's way ahead;
('though with all his nasty ads most independents fled.)
Ron Paul hasn't won a state, yet still he plans to stay.
Georgia went for Gingrich; not a shot he'll go away.
Then there's Rick Santorum, who won 3 states out of 10.
It was pretty late into the evening's coverage when
We discovered that Ohio wouldn't be his fourth;
Plus, he barely garnered third in most states in the North.
I can't see how anyone but Romney gets the nod
As long as he sticks to the economy; not God.
But I think he's got an uphill battle in the South
Due, I fear, to tendencies to insert foot in mouth.
I'm sorry. I have a not-so-rare disease known in medical circles as Dr. Seussilitis, symptoms bear resemblance to a sort of brain colitis... Oops! Sorry. I'm afraid that flare ups occur whenever political figures (or the Boston Red Sox) do something silly. I will try to control myself in the future, but... With the way this political season is shaping up; I make no promises.
