Tragedy in Tucson - Some Have Blood On Their Lips
A few days ago, an assassination attempt of a public servant robbed a nation of its sense of security . No I am not referring to the blatant murder of an outspoken liberal Governor who was cut-down in broad daylight by his own bodyguard in Pakistan. But sadly, this attempted political slaying happened right here in - United States of America. A devoted public servant, a Congresswoman, gunned down while doing her job by meeting with the voters.
The attempted killing of US Rep. Gabrielle Giffords offers this country a moment to reflect upon our politics. Those advocating "2nd Amendment" rights as a way to deal with political adversaries; or placing 'bulls-eye' 'cross-hairs' on a map of opponent's districts on a map - cater to the ignorant, the feeble-minded, the bigots, and those who are too delusional to think for themselves. Words do have consequences - so if you do not mean them - don't say them. But if you choose to rouse-up the would be 'home-grown' terrorists who look to leaders like the former Governor from Alaska for leadership, well accept the inevitable consequences of your Rhetoric!
Sadly, these same people are now hiding under the Constitution. Well in a representative democracy - the majority rule applies. Those duly elected should be respected by those who support the Constitution. We are supposed to be The United States of America. Not the Blue state or Red state - United States. All for and one for all.
President Obama is not a Nazi or Kenyan citizen. Nor is he Muslim who is going to put grandma on death panels. Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and their likes should wipe their BLOODY lips clean and seek forgiveness from GOD for the hate that they spew - and - for the violence that they advocate!
