What is Government?
The old guard media would like us all to believe that government is something that can be created by edict. They have been quite successful at convincing us that the laws of nature can be amended with the stroke of the pen.
They have a vested interest in keeping us at their beck and call. They still convince many of us that they can spread "democracy" around the world with violence, and that they can create wealth by printing paper money. So they bottleneck communication channels by licensing the media and subsidizing public education. Heaven forbid that elementary economics be taught in public schools.
It was only a few thousand years ago that the Egyptian world was convinced that the Pharaoh was God. The official scribes were able to monopolize knowledge and trick the public. The notion that politicians can operate outside of the laws of nature - more specifically, the natural laws of the marketplace - will die the same death as the Pharaohs and witch doctors. It is high time.
Once it becomes common knowledge that the natural laws of the market govern even the politicians, the world will be a much more civil and happy place. The politicians will be in exile with all of the other thieves and murderers who have put themselves too far in debt to repay their victims.
Until then, by ignoring natural government (market law), politicians will continue to create black markets and monopolies. They will "tinker" with what they call "market failures" which they themselves create - expanding their monopolies and black markets. They will give themselves and their friends immunity from accountability, spoiling the earth in the name of "the common good."
Fortunately, this cancer can easily be cut out at a much lower cost in human terms than tinkering with the massive failures of the state. Just pull the plug, and let the real government govern. It will govern either way - regardless of whether we "let" it. The more the politicians try to "fix" society, the greater the cost. If we leave it alone, it will be much nicer to us.
