I think I know where this comes from. I think Oprah once referred to CANDIDATE Obama as "The One." As in "the candidate we've been waiting for." I don't think she meant he was Jesus returned to Earth. But then, I've never really put much stock into anything Oprah ever said. And never will until I find the keys to a new car under my seat. Who knew conservatives took Oprah's word as Gospel. I sure didn't. Did you?
So no, Liberals don't see Obama as "God." And conservatives know this. But they're not writing for liberals or independents. They're writing for other conservatives... preaching to the choir, if you will (and I'm going to keep working the religion angle here until I get tired of it or God strikes me dead). It generally goes like this.
"Huh! Libruhls is so dum! They thinks Obammer is GOD. Huh. Dumass lihbruls. Duh."
Now THAT'S SATIRE!
Anyway, back to this guy's column. (If my mind starts to wander and I start having this guy Golub talking like Gollum in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, forgive me. It's early and my meds are just kicking in.)
His pigmentation was different from previous presidents, which to liberals meant he was special. (Gollub!) Conservatives understood that while he did have a different ratio of melanin content, his outer coat hid an inner layer of nothingness. (Gollub!) At his core was no core. There was no there there. Liberals called him "post-modern," which conservatives understand translates into shallow, substanceless, nothingness.
The PRECIOUSSSSS! REFERRING TO THE PRESIDENT'S SKIN COLOR WE HAS, AND TURNED IT AROUND ON THE LIBERALSES!!! WICKED LIBERALSES! WE HATES THEM FOREVER! GOLLUB!!!!

Liberals looked at the box and saw Crayola. Conservatives heard his platitudes and recognized cr@pola.
Now, I didn't use the "@" there. He did. He thought his readers would clutch at their pearls, fan themselves furiously and head for the fainting couch with a case of the vapors should he use the word "crapola."
