postGame: Mets 11 Cardinals 1
http://www.metsblog.com/ 2008/ 07/ 03/ postgame-mets-11-cardinals-1/
The Mets (42â43) beat up on the Cardinals (49â38) by the score of 11 to 1 in St. Louis tonight. For a recap, boxscore, stats, etc., go to SNY.tv. However, in case you missed it, know that, while Jose Reyes and Carlos Delgado each had three RBI, and the name of the game tonight was Mike Pelfrey, who let up just six hits and one run, while striking out six, through seven innings of work. He kept the ball away, he kept it down, he mixed up his pitches, and made several hitters, including Albert Pujols, look foolish. He is finally throwing strikes, not messing around, and getting the job done.

go big Pelf three months later
http://ventilate.blogsome.com/2008/07/04/go-big-pelf-three-m...it’s been difficult rooting for these 2008 mets. despite winning last night’s game, they are still a .500 team to me. they haven’t proved me wrong so far. their record is 42-43, and they are 5-5 in their last 10 games. so, i need to concentrate on the the little things. for example, pelfrey is progressing quite nicely. three months ago, i posted that the mets should just let the guy pitch. after a rough start, he has won his last four games. go big pelf!
