These can be baked three weeks ahead and frozen, making them an ideal Christmas gift. Makes about 4 dozen. INGREDIENTS 1 1/2cups hazelnuts, toasted, husked 3cups all purpose flour 2/3cup unsweetened cocoa powder 1teaspoon baking soda 1teaspoon baking powder 1/2teaspoon salt 1cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature 2cups sugar 3large eggs 1 1/2teaspoons vanilla extract 1/2teaspoon almond extract 1cup semisweet chocolate chips DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350°F.
