Pontianak Melaka - Malacca Pontianak in Pulau Gadong

There is a pontianak in Malacca or so it seems. Let’s call her the pontianak Melaka then. People have seen her floating merrily around Pulau Gadong and they swear it’s a real pontianak. She, I think is a typical pontianak that we see in the movies. Long hair, white robe, eerie whimpers and all. Got me wondering. Why are all ghost or pontianaks, especially female ones, dressed in white robes and must sport long hairs? Is that the standard attire in Bandar Pontianak? Why must they all make the same eerie pontianak whimper? Anyway, this pontianak from Pulau Gadong is getting rather popular.
