Meetings that Combine Business with Lunch Boost Business
http://www.solobusinessmarketing.com/ blog/ nfblog/ 2008/ 03/ 27/ meetings-that-combin...
Two years ago I cited a newspaper interview that suggested meeting clients for lunch in order to set the tone for three outcomes: 1. A stronger business relationship 2. Relaxation in a casual atmosphere in order to learn more about the client 3. Referral requests to expand your business potential Will the upcoming warmer season put more of these conversational lunches on your calendar? Start searching through your ACT! file, Rolodex, or Palm to determine who you’ll invite to lunch. I explain this business-building tactic in my book along with examples of popular meeting places.

How to Connect with Your Clients
http://www.sweetsurvival.com/blog/nfblog/2008/03/28/how-to-c...Yesterday, on the Solo Business Marketing blog, I encouraged business owners to begin looking at their calendars and scheduling lunch meetings with selected clients. Take a look at the posting and start thinking about who in your client list qualifies for this type of invitation. How can you capitalize on sales at a lunch meeting? *Show your client a sample piece of new cellophane or ribbon to adorn their baskets (read more about cellophane and ribbon). *Learn about new customers that your client is pursuing, and tell her how your gift baskets will seal the deal. *Set up a meeting to show several gift baskets at their office, or provide her with a link to a page on your Web site with information on what you suggested during the lunch. I know, with your experience and knowledge about clients, that you’ll think of more ways to make the lunch productive and profitable. What if, because of your own schedule, you’re unable to meet a client for lunch? *Meet them for breakfast. *Create a lunch-and-learn informational postcard or newsletter. *Make a CD that includes gift basket selections along with a coupon for a free sandwich and/or beverage from a popular specialty chain to enjoy while watching. If this is a good way to connect with clients, you’ll find a solution to sell at lunch or alternative option if lunch is not appropriate.
