The reviews from the premiere overseas were luke warm, although Lindsay Lohan received a lot of praise. Here are some insights from recent reviews of Chapter 27. The film itself is criticized in writing/direction for a poor aesthetic, and jumbled postmodern references that just don't quite fit.
