Saturday Heat Wave

It's just a little after 6pm Saturday and the big thermometer outside my kitchen window says 92*. It's either all or nothing when it comes to the weather in western Washington. Even my sidebar Weather Pixie says 88*. Poor little Gabi hasn't done any shedding of her winter coat yet so she is really dragging. She's all laid out on the wood entry way ~ her favorite place to stay cool. The very warm weather has started a season of danger on Washington rivers. The heavy snow pack is beginning to melt very fast and there's a warning on most of the rivers, especially here on the west side of the Cascades, that flooding could occur.
