    download from youtube

    http://www.luvhex.info/$my_blog/2008/09/23/download_from_you...

someone asked me how to download videos from Youtube. previously i was using some very manual means to do that -- using URL Snooper to snip the multimedia URL of the video exact location, download and watch it (this works with most video streaming sites). after reading from Lifehacker, there are easier ways to do it. much easier... and i think the Better Youtube Firefox Extension does the best. after downloading and installing the Firefox browser and the extension, you just need to go to the youtube video site, and you will see a download this video link just under the video rating area. click it and it will open up a popup, wait a few seconds and you will be prompted with the download link. the video download would be either in flv or in mp4 format. if your computer can't play it, hover to ffdshow tryout to download the codec pack (paired together with CoreCodec and Media Player Classic, they are the best and only codecs u will ever need to play any files in your computer).

The Frugal Girl posts some mighty tasty looking frugal brownies. Single Ma from Fabulous Financials gives us how to build a professional wardrobe on a budget. I agree with most of her principles, but ever since the closet cleanout on FB Closet, I've pared down on purses, clothing, and accessories. Now I just have the essentials and I wish I had known that before and saved a bundle.A man is not the answer, says Brunette on a Budget. I wrote about something similar about how everyone has money.Want to know how to speed up Windows cuz it's draggin' its ass?? Life Hacker gives us the what NOT to do, to speed up Windows, and debunks common myths.Xin Lu from Wise Bread asks how to deal with family members who are bad at managing money. This one, is definitely something I've dealt with before (namely parents), and the tips in here are extremely helpful.Oh no they didn't!!! Geek Sugar says that they came out with a USB Snap Bracelet. Umm... Functional Fashion, I presume? Not for me. Thanks.I love this post about what rich people spend their money on.... I liked this one: William Shakespeare’s signature is the world’s most expensive autograph, which may make sense since there seems to be only six of them in the world, none of them currently for sale. Auction price is estimated at $5,000,000.Squawkfox gives us a great printable grocery list that we should print to use. I'd suggest printing it and laminating it, and using it with a dry erase marker so that you don't keep printing out the paper over and over again.Counting Pennies talks about the issue of taking supplies from a company but not considering it 'stealing'. I guess I'm guilty of that for SURE. I just never thought about it as stealing. But it's not like I'm stealing staplers. I took a couple of folders and a pen... :\Seasonal Ontario Food whips up a mighty tasty looking, and FAST recipe with spinach and miso.Leo from Zen Habits posts about keeping that marital spark alive with 6 principles. I'm not into #1 (Spirituality), but #5 (Have Sex) made me laugh with this comment:....Research shows that most men need about a second on average to be interested in and ready for sex. If you’re an older male, it may be 2 seconds. Women on the other hand, need about 20 minutes. When you add to this that research also shows the length of time sex actually lasts is 3 minutes, it’s no wonder there may be problems. 17 minutes after sex if over, the woman is ready.Brown Eyed Girl and Money recounts her stint at negotiating, and makes a very good point: "Rarely does the job offer get pulled because you negotiated, so the worst scenario is that the offer stay the same, and the best is that you get more.". They've already accepted you as a candidate, they're not going to give up on you and try and find another fit!The plot continues at Getting Single with Operation: Get rid of Johnny. Single Girl leaves us with so many cliffhangers.. I can't stand it!Is it sick that I actually think these studded tights are cool? No, right? :\ Via Kingdom of StyleGail Vaz-Oxlade does a nice, forceful post about the old adage: He who dies with the most toys, wins, and she wonders what the big deal is with collecting STUFF in life. *raises hand*.. I am guilty of loving technology, especially stuff like the iPhone, iPod, MacBook, External Harddrives, etc...Life Hacker gives us YouTube Hacks where you can now actually download that video to your desktop instead of wishing you could. This guy proposed using Google Earth. It's a neat, geeky idea, but I'm not sold. Seems quite impersonal.youlookfab gives us the best of Spring 2008 and Summer 2008 fashions. I like the white jeans look - but again - even finding REGULAR jeans is a chore for me. *sigh* Oh J. Crew. Why do you tempt me with your wonderful pictures of trouser jeans at $118? :(Apartment Therapy showcases an entire world map as your wallpaper in the home, which is actually kind of cool, especially for a kid but grownup enough for an adult not to gag.J.D. from Get Rich Slowly answers the question: "If personal finance is so easy why isn't everyone rich?". Like he says, it's because the implementation of good personal finance rules is extremely difficult. It takes discipline.Escape from Brooklyn talks about Atlantans being pissed off with NY, and New Yorkers biting back. This one line made me laugh: There are more down-homey things, too, to the point where we can't even be mad: We only feel bad for them for being all gentle and dumb and you know, southern. Like when they say, "No one can make a decent biscuit" and "They’ve never heard of sweet tea." (Whatever, we don't all have gonorrhea, either, but it doesn't mean we've never heard of it.)Y'all probably hate the garage and the basement for being clutter zones, right? Well, The Unclutterer offers tips to clean up and fix up your garage to make it all purdy. What a CREEP! I'm assuming a loser covers all 10 in a consistent manner/fashion, right? Because we've all done at least ONE thing on that list at some point in our lives. We aren't saints with halos y'know... J.D. raised a fuss for $3 for a backpack at Staples. I would've too. $3 is still $3, and it's the principle of the matter - not letting those retailers get away with false promises and make you buy something you didn't need in the first place with a faux discount. Wise Bread says you need an aggregator to grab all those email accounts and put them into one neat, tidy little spot.Sharon-Rose gives some wonderfully frugal tips about thrifting and what to look out for. My favourite tip? When in doubt, buy it. Er, let's keep in mind that these items are $2 - $5, okay? Not $50 - $100 like what I'd normally pay retail in a store ;)But with jeans, I buy them right away, if they're around $100 or cheaper. It's impossible to find a good pair of jeans nowadays!Erica from Not In My Colour reviews a product line called M.O.P. or Modern Organic Products for the hair, a line I had never heard of before, but now am intrigued about.Simply Stated posts some inspiring before and after decluttering pictures. My favourite is the shoes with the Polaroid pictures at the bottom. The only thing I noticed is that these homes are still kind of *cough* cluttered. But an organized cluttered. For me, I'd have gone a more minimalist route (like I did with my room/clothes/shoes/accessories/purses) and purged of 50% of everything just to make the room seem more open and inviting. Stuff is making me cringe now.Free from Broke sorts out any confusion between your credit SCORE and your credit REPORT.Try out these staycation tips on how to make the most of your home-bound vacation. Debunking Common Windows Performance Tweaking Myths – As a tech writer, one of my biggest pet peeves is the plethora of bad advice littered across almost every web site dedicated to system tweaking.
