Know the Dem's delegate count? Well now you will! Barack Obama has led in pledged delegates (the ones that candidates win in primaries) the whole time. Currently, he has 1592 of these suckers, while Hillary Clinton has just 1424. Each candidates needs 2025 delegates to win the nomination, but there are only 217 pledged delegates left in the remaining contests. So both candidates come up short. Enter the super delegates and all their drama... You probably know by now that super delegates are basically party bigwigs, like senators and governors and stuff, who can vote for either candidate for any reason.
