Goon Headed to the Big Screen

Goon Headed to the Big Screen July 3rd, 2008--by Stephen Schleicher Dark Horse Entertainment is bringing Eric Powell’s Goon to the big screen as a CG animated movie. Created by Eric Powell in 1999, the comic follows the adventures of a muscle-bound brawler who claims to be the primary enforcer for a feared mobster. The stories have a paranormal and comedic edge to them and concern ghosts, zombies, mad scientists and “skunk apes.” While no studio has been signed for distribution, Blur Studios will be doing the CG work. There’s also no word if this will be an original tale, or an adaptation of one of the existing story arcs. I personally would vote for Chinatown.
