Alice Springs rape case abandoned due to poor video equipment
http://www.downundernewslinks.com/ ?p=3055
A visiting trial judge has been forced to abandon a case in Alice Springs because video equipment continually failed. It is the second time the sexual assault trial against Hubert Pareroultja has been abandoned because of problems with the Alice Springs Law Courts equipment. Acting justice Geoffrey Eames discharged the trial jury earlier today, describing the technology at the court was “hopeless” and saying even simple matters such as lighting and sound were completely inadequate. He told the jury: The technology in Alice Springs is simply not up to scratch.
