Conversations at the Southside Mission A message from Conversations on the Fringe Subject: Conversations at the Southside Mission When culture changes as rapidly as ours, often it is our young who are pushed to the fringes of society. We see this happening in our schools, churches, communities and neighborhoods. Many youth workers have expressed a need to acquire better training for them and their adult leader! s who work on the fringes with kids who may be marginalized, cast out, ignored, or face other behavioral challenges. Walking alongside youth struggling with these complex issues is a messy vocation and takes not only courage, but resources.
