Good morning. Re-imagining Luther via Satan? Old doctors don’t retire … they always diagnose. On war and cinema, a reflection. Praying for the demise of two evil men. Scorn cast on those who “hope” Jesus rose from the dead. Works and grace. One’s own bias, is often a hard thing to discern. On the Theotokos. Church, Faith and Love and hardness of heart in the parking lot at the mega-church. Fitna. I haven’t seen it. How it relates to freedom of speech in the UK. And one notes, the reaction against it is more from the West acting in outrage on behalf of, instead of outrage from the Muslim world. Is that true? If so, what does that say about those who react? Trinity, East and West. Dialog? A long series introduced. Slavery, worldwide. Translation and fidelity (and fido). The City of God reimagined. Death, violence against children, and Russia. Contra the Left. Signs of the age, one and two. Is outrage!

Hey, Sting! The Russians don't love their children after all

    http://www.fivefeetoffury.com/:entry:fivefeet-2008-03-30-000...

Hey, Sting! The Russians don't love their children after all "The mortality rate has risen steadily through Putin's years in power (it is up nearly 15% since 2003), and the only thing Putin has been able to think of to deal with that reality is to bribe Russian parents to have more children. "This classic Russian 'solution' is actually worse than the existing problem. People don't want children, but they do want money. So they take the money, have the child -- and then what happens? That child will be lucky to live to see his 18th birthday, and if he does he'll certainly be impacted by the fact that the only reason he exists is because he got paid."

Hugh Hewitt reports that McCain will be calling for “a significant increase in the size of the Army and Marine Corps” during campaigning in Florida this week. Michelle Malkin is all over the Fitna situation. Red State has several good posts on the Wright-Obama debacle. Ace of Spades points out “the sheer depth of arrogance” of a McCain aid claiming that “loyalty is a big, big commodity in McCain-land.” It isn’t just arrogant, it’s hypocritical. Given the number of shivs McCain has put into the backs of Republicans, how can he demand loyalty from anyone? My pal Phil Johnson at Pyromaniac is starting an ongoing series on Acts 17:22-34. Even if you’re a stone atheist, pop over and check him out. The man could even teach a terrorist stringer from Reuters a thing or two about photoshopping. And finally, a touch of of Russophobia. Publius Pundit describes the bleakness of life in Putin’s Russia, giving stats on child abuse, suicide rates, AIDS and such. Something to think about when you read about Putin’s new defense procurements. On a lighter note, La Russophobe has your Sunday Stalin!
