Kalamaf Drackonsbane wrote an interesting post today. Here’s a quick excerpt: When my mother used to go play poker with the family they always played for real money, just with quarters though, no high stakes. The most anyone typically won or lost was around $40. I almost got bit by the gambling bug one night and lost $600 on roulette before I cut myself off. Since then I try to stay away from real money games and just stick to using poker chips. Not to say you can’t use the chips to represent real money, it’s just my preference not too.
