seed activism in India
http://anarchocyclist.ca/ 2008/ 04/ 05/ seed-activism-in-india/
I just found an interesting article on current events in India, called “From Champaram To Rajghat : A Pilgrimage To Save Seeds, The Land And Our Farmers“, by Vandana Shiva. In it, she compares the current corporate practice of patenting seeds and forcing farmers to buy new seeds every year instead of saving them, to the british practice of forcing cultivation of indigo for british textiles industries instead of allowing indian farmers to grow food.
