Google’s Friend Connect Service is breaking the social walls

Google is releasing a social tool across the web named “Friend Connect”. This is the latest announcement from internet companies to break down the social walls. In Friend Connect, site owners can enable blogging and feedback forms by using a small code on their website. The service was to be released Monday, but only a small number of sites will have access to the code during the testing period. Friend Connect site easily identifies the user and users can use their existing user names from AOL, Yahoo, Google and a list of other sites that use the emerging OpenID standard.
