Traditional roles go sci-fi in latest movie HCM CITY — Two astronomers, hoping to avert the current problems created by the worldly inventing new creatures, have recently discovered their creations are more trouble than they are worth. Luckily, the unlucky duo are just the main characters of Nguoi Nam 2222 (Human Being in 2222), the first sci-fi play to blend Vietnamese traditional performance techniques with the sexy moves of phsyical theatre. The play opened last week at the Le Quy Duong Trial Theatre. Human Being in 2222 was first written 10 years ago by Le Duy Hanh, a well known writer and winner of the State Prize in Creative Arts.
