David Baird’s new book about a forgotten war in the sierras of Spain is out now in Spanish. Historia de los maquis - Entre dos fuegos has been published by Editorial Almuzara. The book relates the true story of a village caught up in the bitter guerrilla struggle to oust the Franco regime in the 1940s. Hailed by critics, including the historian Paul Preston, the book is now available in both English and Spanish.
