Smallville - Rosenbaum out, Doomsday in
http://www.tvsquad.com/ 2008/ 05/ 02/ smallville-rosenbaum-out-doomsday-in/
Filed under: Smallville, Celebrities, Reality-FreeWe knew it was coming. At the end of February 2007, Smallville actor, Michael Rosenbaum, announced his intentions of leaving the show at the end of the 2007-2008 season in order to tackle new projects. For the past year, fans (I include myself here) hoped that the actor would change his mind. How can Smallville be, well, Smallville without Lex Luthor? Things looked grim when the actor reminded us last February that he was done with the show, come the Season 7 finale.

Allison Mack Following Michael Rosenbaum Out of Smallville?
http://scifi.technophobiac.net/2008/05/09/allison-mack-follo...Things are not looking at all good for Smallville these days. First the series creators decide to move on to pastures new, then Kristin Kreuk (who plays Lana Lang) only signs up to do a few episode in the next season. Next Michael Rosenbaum (Lex Luthor) jumps ship. Never mind there, there's still Lois Lane and Chloe Sullivan for Clark to save right? Maybe not. It's being reported that actress Allison Mack who has played Chloe Sullivan since the series began has started hinting that she might leave the show as well. Image via Wikipedia So far Mack hasn't signe don for season eight and there's some speculation that this is a negotiating ploy. With the cast diminished, producers really need to hold on to a few of the core characters if they want to keep the show going. Which makes it the perfect time to talk money. At this point it's looking as though even Mack decides to stay on, the show will limp through a final 8th Season before being put out of its misery. There's always the small possibility that this could be turned around, but it would take a radical re-interpretation of Smallville and there's no guarantee that the existing audience would tune in for that. Link Post (05.02.08)
http://needandknife.com/?p=108The Scrubs episode on May 8th is set to be greatly inspired by The Princess Bride. I’m really excited to see what they end up doing with that. A toned down version of GTA 4 from Late Night with Conan O’Brien. An Iron Man sequel is already set for release in 2010. I probably won’t get a chance to see the first movie until at least next weekend so who knows when I’ll get to see the second one. I knew for a while that Lex Luthor was not going to be part of Smallville’s eighth season, and have been wondering just how they were going to continue the show without that character. Well, now we know: Doomsday. I hope they can pull it off well or else season eight might be pretty boring. A new trailer for Hancock is out. I think half of the 3 minute long trailer are of clips that I’ve already seen, but it’s still fun to watch and should end up being a pretty decent movie.
