Maddoxilla on tarjota eri tehoisia suihkumoottoripolkupyöriä alkaen noin 62 Newtonin työntövoimasta ulottuen aina 4400 Newtonin työntövoimaan. eBayssa myyty 222 Newtonin vempele pystyi kiihdyttämään pyörän 120 km/h vauhtiin. Buy your bicycle a pulse-jet on Ebay

I have a cousin who was well known for his dare devil antics as a child.  He once jumped off the top of a house to prove he could fly in his superman costume.  This would be his dream come true for a new way to promote self injury.  A strap on jet-propulsion pack for his bicycle. Robert Maddox, the genius behind the pulse-jet, sells different versions of his invention on Ebay.  He has produced different models that provide between 14 and 1000 pounds of thrust.  When you consider that these pulse-jets are to be strapped on to regular bicycles, the potential for harm increases tremendously.  My cousin would love it. The bicycle version will propel the bike at 75 mph.  The larger ones can be strapped onto other objects that you would like to see take off at high speeds. Since the pulse-jet was modeled after the the infamous German V1 buzzbombs in WWII.  Just like their plane predecessors, the pulse-jet is noisy, and guaranteed to irritate your neighbors on an early Saturday morning. My cousin is now 55 and no longer jumps off of houses, but this little invention could give him whole new levels of thrills and his wife whole new levels of dread.

    Jet Sage…

    http://pickled-hedgehog.com/?p=599

Jet Sage… May 23rd, 2008 by Alex … visionary or nutter? Here is yet another evolutionary branch of the genus bicycle, apparently designed for the sole purpose of inhuming the rider in all manner of interesting ways. Once the jet engine is fired up, speeds of 75MPH can be attained even if a steering axis cannot. This instrument of wheeled death could travel for literally yards before impacting something hard, spikey or both. Failing that it could just explode and it’d be all flesh coloured tarmac and identification by dental records. Check out the video on this link and marvel at the commercial nous of a man that not only builds these but schleps them out on fleabay. Every time the world seems to finally make some kind of sense, a kind soul fills my inbox with the truth that it really doesn’t. Posted in Bikes, Other stuff

Pulsejet-powered bicycle, for those leisurely commutes

Pulsejet-powered bicycle, for those leisurely commutes Posted by: in Transportation Filed under: Transportation There’s just something about people strapping jet engines to things they have no business being strapped to that brings a twinkle to our eyes, and Robert Maddox’s pulsejet-powered bicycle is no exception. Maddox actually sells pulsejets on eBay ranging from fourteen to over a thousand pounds of thrust, and the fifty-pounder in this video is capable of moving his bicycle at a whopping 75MPH. Sure, it’s loud, but at least it’s more practical than that jet-powered Port-a-Potty. Video after the break. Pulsejet Madness

Oh lordy, a 75mph pulsejet powered bicycle. Friends, if I disappear over the horizon in a swirl of noisy dust, you’ll know where the idea came from. I’ll need a tandem bike, though. I’m sure Sean will want to come with me.
