It’s Mother’s Day
http://www.seriouslywtf.net/ 2008/ 05/ 11/ its-mothers-day/
Although I am (thankfully ) not a mother myself, Mother’s Day has hit the US. And what a rainy, windy, cold, horrible day it is here in Chicago, too. Still, while our mothers may drive us to the brink of murder at times, they are still our mothers. Here’s a little bit about mine. My mom makes the awesomest chocolate pie at Thanksgiving. I honestly have no idea whether it’s a chocolate pudding pie or what, and it always ends up messy, but that’s what makes it sooooo good. I dream about this pie every year. She has lived in Chicago for a few decades now, but has always been (and will always be) a California girl at heart.
