Laughing April 29th, 2008 Laughing. God has created us so that we cannot laugh and feel fear at the same time. The moments when we are laughing we feel safe. I heard a news story the other day that said that laughing only happens when we are with others (or are responding to others through ‘virtual’ relationships — like when we are reading a book, or playing on line, or watching a movie). I’m not sure I buy it. I can distinctly remember several times when I have laughed out loud in prayer. Maybe though — that proves the researcher’s point as I am decidedly not “alone” when I am praying.
