Imagine, if you will, the following movie: Our protagonist is successful, sassy, and gorgeous. Suddenly, they realize that they are in love with their best friend. After some hemming and hawing, they decide to pluck up the courage and confess their true feelings! But, their best friend has something to tell them as well!! — They’re getting married to some other successful, sassy and gorgeous person! Oh no! Obviously, weddings are huge and important events. And it is crucial that best friends are involved, so the protagonist is given the highest position of honour in the wedding.
