Hello everyone. I've decided to come up with a part 2 of this writing project of identifying new and emerging blogs that are making an impact to its readers in 2008. These are blogs that started anytime from July 1, 2007 to the present. They are gradually gaining a considerable amount of readership and influence. This writing project will not be possible without the support of sponsors such as PRC Board Exam Results. Who can join? Any blogger in the world. Only one entry per blogger. My Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs of 2008

The blog highlights the many culinary delights in the city, enticing locals and tourists to have a taste of Davao. Digital Puto Not all stories can be shared with words. Pictures capture a moment in time. Digital Puto, redefined for me, the way I see photos. Events by Ria Wedding coordination and events planning is a booming business. A gratis gig as a wedding coordinator and a blog post has spawned a blog. And from that blog, a business that is blooming leaps and bounds. With little SEO work by a non-SEO practitioner, this blog has shown me that content is indeed king, and a blog can shape the way one does business. Filipino Voices News, Politics, Social Commentary… never has these three become more interesting and fascinating until varying voices and dissenting opinions were hosted under one blog. Each blogger presents strong opinions, passionate arguments, and insightful commentaries that are infectious and effective. Fritzified.com This blog demonstrates how personal experiences can be relate-able and interesting even to people who do not know the blogger. This blog excels in turning seemingly insignificant events and thoughts into interesting, thought-provoking and entertaining reads. Gen Santos There’s more to Mindanao than war and Davao City. While our group had a lot of pains in establishing our beloved city’s balanced online presence, this blog has accomplished a lot in a small time. 2008 Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs

This the second consecutive year that Influential Blogger is doing this writing project. I have attended last year's awarding ceremony and was so pleased to get to know the new faces emerging in the Philippine blogosphere so I promised myself I will send my list this 2008. I have some favorite blogs that I would have included in my list but I have to stick to the rules - only blogs that started last July 2007 are qualified to be nominated. So I referred to my Entrecard dashboard, tried to recall the blogs mentioned by my friends, consulted the current list at Influential Bloggers to complete my list. Most of my nominees come from genres close to my heart -- mom blogs, e-commerce, travel, fashion, food. My other nominees made me smile or just plainly intrigued me. Most are from the Philippines, some are not. So here goes...
