Foreclosure Asistance Blog wrote an interesting post today on Here’s a quick excerpt Schenectady County officials are asking McDonald’s Corp. to sell a vacant building in Scotia to an area developer. The Mohawk Avenue building was a company-owned restaurant until 2005, but has been empty ever since. “Since the closing three years ago, the site has been vacant and has rapidly deteriorated to the point of being a detriment to efforts to redevelop this area,” Susan Savage, chairwoman of the Schenectady County Legislature, said in a letter sent today to the Illinois company.
