I just received from an email from Andrew Nemr of TapLegacy.org announcing the passing of Dr. Jimmy Slyde, the legendary Master of tap dancing. And as it always is with news of this sore, I don’t want to believe it! Jimmy Slyde (b. James Godbolt) was born on October 2, 1927 and passed away today, May 16, 2008.
