OK, hold in your stomach muscles. Come on, hold them in! Now keep holding them in. It’s hard to sit there with your muscles contracted for very long. If you were standing up on a stage where you were singing a song for a music performance or giving a speech before an audience, you probably would be able to hold in your muscles for a longer period of time. But when you step off the stage, what’s the first thing you’ll want to do? More than likely, your stomach muscles will immediately and gladly relax. The person with attention deficit disorder experiences a similar situation when he or she needs to pay attention.
