Guest Post: Simple Aromatherapy Recipes
http://www.livelywomen.com/ 2008/ 04/ 13/ guest-post-simple-aromatherapy-recipes/
This post is part of a series by guest writer Jennifer Chait. My usual course of action when I have a health issue is to try using oils before I take a medication. I'm not against traditional medications; I would just rather try something less toxic first. Here are some good basic recipes that work for me. Headache treatment (also makes your hair smell great!) 4 drops pure organic lavender essential oil 2 drops pure organic peppermint essential oil Mix the essential oil drops into a few drops of carrier oil. Starting at the back of your neck, massage up along your hairline, to your temple, and upwards, until you reach the top of your head.

Need a Quick Way to Recharge or Destress at Work? Try Aromatherapy!
http://www.bizchicksrule.com/need-a-quick-way-to-recharge-or...This past week at my women’s health blog, guest writer Jennifer Chait offered some really simple and really excellent aromatherapy recipes. I’m feeling really drained right now and trying to come up with a noncaffeinated way to perk up and get some stuff done before I crash for the night. One really nice thing about aromatherapy is that it’s super easy to stash a bottle of essential oil in your desk drawer for easy access during the day. Because I work from home, I don’t have any of those crazy safety restrictions like no open flames in the office, so I have an oil burner at my desk and I use lavendar oil when I’m feeling particularly stressed out. Your in-office solution might be to just open the bottle and set it on your desk for a few minutes. The scent will reach you, but not your office mates. Try it. Don’t forget to share What You Want to Be When You Grow Up and be entered to win a $25 Barnes & Noble gift card!
