Amy Winehouse has one of the more promising new voices in music in the 21st century, but recent troubles have put that career into jeopardy.
The English singer, born in 1983, was best known for her amazing voice in the early 2000s, but toward the end of the decade has been in the tabloids more often for self-destructive behavior ranging from rock's usual staples (drinking and alleged drug abuse to the more unusual (playing with baby mice under a blue light, on video with her friend Pete Doherty). Despite all of her personal turmoil, her last album, Back in Black, helped her win five Grammys in 2008.
