Anna Belknap is an actress born in 1972. She is from Maine, the most Northeastern state. While she has made many appearances on various television shows such as The Handler with Joe Pantoliano and Medical Investigation, she is perhaps best known for her work on CSI:NY.
Belknap plays Detective Lindsay Monroe, a crime lab field investigator with the New York Police Department. Lindsay first appears in Season Two as a replacement for Aiden Burn, played by Vanessa Ferlito. She is a little unsure of herself at first, but soon becomes a valuable member of the team. So valuable, in fact, that those in the entertainment industry are often asked about Belknap. The answers often come in the form of online postings on popular blogs.
Viewers are especially interested in watching the relationship grow between Monroe and Det. Danny Messer, played by Carmine Giovianazzo. Opposites attract, and the chemistry cannot be denied. The marriage and subsequent baby girl helped to draw in ratings. Belknap recently gave birth to her second child, which also got people's attention.
