The illustrious Brooke Burke is probably best known for being an American television personality and a model. She was born in Hartford on September 8, 1971 and was the first of nine children.
Burke worked as a model early on in her career and eventually got her big break in 1997 when she began as host for E! Entertainment Channel's Wild On! as the replacement for Jules Asner. Wild On! was a popular travel series that featured good-looking women to feature stories on travel.
After leaving Wild On! in 2002, Burke posted for Playboy in 2004 (it was her second time in the magazine) and hosted CBS's summer reality series Rock Star. In 2007, she started a company called Baboosh Baby and sells wraps for pregnant women. Burke, along with her partner Derek Hough, won the seventh season of the popular reality series Dancing With the Stars.
