Chihuahuas are a breed of dog that can be either long haired or short haired. Some Long Haired Chihuahuas appear to be larger in size, but they aren't. Long Haired Chihuahuas must be groomed frequently, and as they get used to it, often begin to enjoy it.
Miniature Chihuahuas are also popular. Slightly smaller than regular Chihuahuas. While arguably cuter, a Miniature Chihuahua is still just a Chihuahua.
A Maltese is a toy breed, so they are small, though not as small as most Chihuahuas. Maltese dogs have long, silky coats, which is often trimmed for ease of grooming. Chihuahua puppies are very easy to raise.
