Craiglist is a misspelling of Craigslist, a popular classified ad and forum website.
Craigslist was found in 1995 by Craig Newmark. Hundreds of cities around the world have their own regional sites. Each site features classified ads on a variety of topics, from personals to housing to jobs, as well as forums.
Craigslist is famously free and ad-free, financed by fees for job listings in fewer than a dozen U.S. cities and by paid apartment listings in New York City. Craigslist is also famously minimalist, with no images outside of the Craigslist blog.
Craigslist seems to embody the same spirit that drives many bloggers, and the company has many fans among bloggers.
